Akshaya Patra presents ‘The Possibilities’ with a hope to draw its viewer’s attention to the plight of children affected by hunger and the difference a mid-day meal can make. Akshaya Patra implements mid-day meal program in partnership with Government of India and various State Governments. Akshaya Patra is known for its hygienic, nutritious food served to 1.4 Million from over 10,000 schools across 10 states in India. Song synopsis: The lyrics for this song were written by the Tamil poet Vaali. 'Nan yen piranthen' is a song about a child who is shunned by society for abject poverty. It is about the child's agony on being lonely and persecuted. So much so that the child keeps questioning, 'Why was I born? Why I did I ever open my eyes?" It is a very existential, yet poignant question. The song is about eventual redemption and how the child hopes to overcome all obstacles and oppression.
