"We're dealing with a society of children": Cherie Dimaline meets Jully Black | Canada Reads 2018
Canadian R&B icon Jully Black will be defending The Marrow Thieves by author Cherie Dimaline on Canada Reads 2018. The novel takes place in a future where Indigenous people in North America are being forcibly taken to residential schools and harvested for their bone marrow, which contains the lost ability to dream.
As the annual battle of the books nears, Cherie and Jully take some time to get to know each other. Canada Reads 2018 is taking place March 26-29, 2018. Here is how you can tune in:
