The Diligent, A Voyage through the World of the Slave Trade

Yale University professor Dr. Robert Harms discusses his book, "The Diligent, A Voyage through the World of the Slave Trade while special guest on the live television broadcast Television program 'Bridgeport Now'. The author describes the change in slave trade from government monopolies to private enterprise. In addition Dr. Harms points out the role that the African kingdom of Dahomey and the kingdom of Whydah played in the history of the slave trade and the transition, the merchant kingdom destroyed, being replaced by the militarized kingdom.
