(OFFICIAL) Eric Barone, dans les coulisses de la première descente extrême à VTT de nuit

ECLAIR - FULL MOON RIDE était au départ une idée qui se rapprochait du rêve et qui semblait irréalisable. Eric Barone souhaitait descendre la piste de ski la plus rapide du monde de nuit, à VTT, éclairé seulement par la pleine lune. Mais ce rêve, aussi fou qu’il puisse être, Eric a voulu en faire une réalité. Au fil de sa carrière, le multi-recordman de VTT sur neige a accompli de nombreux exploits, notamment son record du monde de descente de VTT sur neige en 2015 à Vars et son record de VTT sur Terre au Nicaragua en 2002. Mais cette année, le Baron Rouge souhaitait pratiquer sa discipline sous un autre angle. Si le côté sport extrême et vélo a beaucoup été mis en avant, l’exploit que rêvait d’accomplir Eric se voulait plus artistique cette fois. Son désir était de partager avec le public, les spectateurs et les internautes les sensations qu’il ressent lorsqu’il s’élance du haut de la piste de ski. Il voulait raconter une histoire, mais surtout transmettre des émotions. C’est donc une fois de plus qu’Eric Barone a accompli une première mondiale le samedi 23 janvier 2016 à 22:20, soir de pleine lune. Vêtu d’une combinaison de lumière, le multi-recordman a descendu la piste mythique KL de Chabrière (piste la plus rapide au monde) à Vars avec son vélo, en pleine nuit. Cette vidéo retrace non seulement cette performance sportive et artistique, mais elle met également en lumière l’ampleur de ce projet ainsi que toute la préparation mentale, physique et artistique. Throughout his career, the multi-recordman performed many exploits, including his mountain bike speed World Record downhill on snow in 2015 in Vars with 223.30kph and his World Record on earth in Nicaragua in 2002 with 173kph! But this year the "Red Baron" wanted to practice his discipline with a whole new approach. Even if extreme sports and mountain bike side have been much emphasized in his career, Eric was looking for a more artistic performance this time. He wanted to share with the spectators the sensation that he can feel when he "falls" from the top of the ski slope. He dared to tell a story, but mostly convey deep emotions. Once again, Eric Barone has performed a World Premiere on Saturday, January 23d, 2016 at 10:20pm, under the Full Moon! Dressed in a LED lightened-suit, the multi-recordman went down the legendary speed ski track of Vars (fastest slope in the world) with his bicycle by night.
