Born in Lisbon and raised in Bremen, Germany, Marcia was very involved in her local music scene developing and exploring her sound in depth. She soon discovered her passion for singing and songwriting. What first started as a hobby soon blossomed further when she worked on her debut and self-titled LP with producer, Stephane Nichols, in February 2006. The album was well-received and established her in the Zouk and Kizomba market with hits like "Vida" and "Je T'Aime Encore" (feat. II Wayz). She further released hits like II Wayz feat. Marcia "The Heat", "Say You'll Be Mine" and "Unica" which solidified her as an artist in Lusophone Africa and beyond. Back to bless the scene, songstress Marcia has come back refreshed and bursting with inspired ideas, currently in the recording studio cheffing up fire for her upcoming offering, " Heal | Evolve | Reign". The lyrical artist is known for flexing skills and leveraging the talent that runs the gamut from contemporary to modern sounds and textures, laced with varied musical influences, like Simply RnB to Morna, that have shaped her as an artist to date. Tapping into her musicality to stir things up, Márcia utilizes both invigorating sounds and synthesizers. Her melancholic, and infectious melodies mesh seamlessly with expressive Kizomba, Zouk & - Afrobeats beats to churn out an impassioned and mature new project. #KIZOMBA #MARCIA #ZOUK #AFROFUSION #ANXIETYANTHEM
