The visitors defence was put under a lot of pressure by the home side who found it difficult to create many clear cut chances despite having the bulk of possession and territorial advantage for most of the first half. Hamilton took a 1-0 advantage into the half time break through in form Stefan Mitrovic. The pressure of the Aurora defence continued in the second half but the visitors worked hard and effectively to restrict the number of chances for Hamilton. Opportunities to add to the score line were few and far between until two goals in quick succession towards the end of the second half put the result beyond doubt.
