I think everyone knows what Star Wars is all about. The Title music was written by John Williams - John Towner Williams, Jr. (born February 8, 1932) an American composer, conductor and pianist. He is considered to be one of the greatest film composers of all time.
Not to be confused with John Christopher Williams (born 24 April 1941) an Australian classical guitarist who played with the band Sky.
Anyway Hank Marvin made an album in 2000 -- "Marvin at the Movies"
I've now covered all of his tracks from this album.
This is my cover of Hanks version of Star Wars -- the added effects at the beginning and the end came from a good friend / guitarist Ross in OZ.
The Tabs are available and I found them to be spot on from Steve Gibb under the title "Theme from Star Wars"

The Backing track came from Marvin Mastertrax
Unfortunately this has now been sold out and no further presses will be made.
I used EFTP (Echoes from the past) on my Alesis Q2 patch 0-36 and a lot of EQ'ing in cubase to increase the treble and spacial echo to get somewhere near to Hank's sound.
Not the most melodic song I've ever done but you have to remember it's meant to be dramatic to go with the film.
Dare I say hope you like Star Wars theme. AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR to all who read this. Dated 1/1/2014
Cheers Phil
