Leo Mancini-Hresko grew up in Boston and attended classes at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Rhode Island School of Design. He spent ten years at The Florence Academy of Art, where he began as a student and ended up the Director of the Sculpture Drawing Program. Leo now works and teaches out of his Waltham studio. Notably, Leo was commissioned by The Venerable Tenzin Priyadarshi of the Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values at MIT to do a portrait of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama for the center, and to be presented to the Dalai Lama during his visit to Boston, his 3rd public event with the center at MIT. Leo's upcoming series introduces the Florence Academy's sight-size drawing method to New Masters Academy students.
