Happy Hobby Days and Keep 'em Running! See you soon! ---------------------- The HBX 12891 and 12813 are based on the same chassis. It is an 1/12th Scale 4WD Shaft-driven Radio-controlled Platform provided with full ball bearings and front/rear double wishbone suspension. They are powered and provided RTR with 2 x 3.7 v. Lithium-Ion single cell batteries (and charger) and controlled with a 2.4 GHz radio system. Both models come with a 390 Type Brushed motor and a combined ESC/reciever and a 5-wire servo. Quite similar vehicles. Still, there are some important differences to be found between the models. Since the HBX Dune Thunder is based on the HBX Survivor chassis I started looking for an original and affordable second hand Survivor, simply because I wanted to try it out, feel and view the differences and similarities in person. I was just curious. By chance I stumbled upon this second hand Survivor MT (HBX 12813 Survivor Monster Truck Edition) and since I happened to like the looks of the body and paint scheme very much, I purchased it immediately. I definitely know which one I prefer myself. What about you? Check out the video and find out the differences and similarities. You can find the specifications of the HBX (Haiboxing) Dune Thunder below.
