Videographer: Ryan Janek Wolowski Original GLBT Expo (14th annual) Jacob K. Javits Convention Center New York City 03-26-2006 Gina G (born Gina Mary Gardiner, on 3 August 1970 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia) is an Australian Dance-pop/House and Eurodance singer/songwriter based in the United Kingdom. Gina is also a Grammy Award Nominee. "Ooh Aah...Just a Little Bit" is a song by Australian singer Gina G. Released as a single in 1996, it reached number one in the United Kingdom on 25th May, 1996. The song was the United Kingdom's entry in the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest. Although the song could only finish in eight place in the contest it became a massive hit across Europe. Even crossing over in the United States, a rarity for Eurovision entries, peaking at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100, #13 on the Rhythmic Top 40, #5 on the Mainstream Top 40, #25 on the Adult Top 40 and #11 on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart. Ironically the song which won the contest that year was a comparative failure, Eimear Quinn's The Voice only charted in Ireland and the UK where it reached #3 and #40 respectively. The song was also nominated in the United States for a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 1998. ******************* For more information: Gina G.: www.ginag.com Gina G. myspace: www.myspace.com/ginagmusic Original GLBT ( Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender ) Expo: www.originalglbtexpo.com **************************************** Video contact: [email protected] www.ryanisland.com www.myspace.com/ryanisland www.youtube.com/ryanreporting
