"Here's tae us, wha's like us? Gey few and they're a' deid!"
Burns' poem inspired by Barbour's Brus. From an old reel-to-reel tape, singer as yet unidentified.
Note that the singer has misguidedly changed a crucial line. He sings "but we shall be free" instead of "but they shall be free", i.e. the men at Bannockburn may die in battle, but they are determined to fight for their descendants to be free men.
