Lectron 38mm HV Install on 2017 KTM 300 XC - Episode 213

Please support on us Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/dirtbikechannel or Donate directly on https://www.dirtbikechannel.com/donate/ Today we install the Lectron 83mm High Velocity carburetor on our 2017 KTM 300 XC. The guys over at Lectron have specifically designed this product for the needs of their dirt bike customers. It is a very well made product. Very simple and easy to use. I also love how easy it is to adjust the idle with this thing, since you don’t need a screwdriver. You can just reach down with your riding gloves on and turn the adjustment knob, which is a nice touch. This carb allows you to ride from sea level to over 10,000 feet above sea level without touching your carb settings! It’s the closest thing to fuel injection you would ever need. Guys are also claiming an increase in fuel efficiency, although that is hard to say since fuel economy on a dirt bikes is rather hard to compare. These carbs run so well, that even guys who tinker with carbs had admitted that the mid range power with these carbs is second to none. Guys who want to “set it, and forget it” will love this thing. Of course this product isn’t for everyone, but if you don’t like working on the jetting of your bike, you may want to check this out. I should note that I personally don't think there was anything wrong with the stock Mikuni carb that comes on these 2017 KTMs and Husky bikes. I didn't have any trouble getting mine to run like a champ. It works just like any of the other carbs I've played with. On the other hand, for those that don't want to play around with jetting, this Lectron carb is a really great option. This carb won't really ever need to be tuned once you get it working correctly.
