From the 80's Channel 4 show 'The Unforgettables' Freddie and the Dreamers were an English band who had many hit records between 1963 and 1965. They were originally from Manchester. They can also be known as the clowns of the British Invasion as they were less serious than other groups at the time. Lead singer Freddie Garrity changed his style from Skiffle in the 50s, to rock and roll in the early 60s. "I'm Telling You Now" was released in 1963 and went to No. 2 in the UK Charts.
