From ‘the78prof’ playlist “And Then They Added Words.” While the 1955 recording of “Zambezi” by American conductor Lou Busch https://youtu.be/bwzC7poBzws was only a minor hit in the U.S., it climbed all the way to #2 on the UK charts, thus prompting someone to write lyrics for it. The Stargazers were a British group that charted eight singles between 1953 and 1956, two of which were #1 best-sellers.
