Amitabh Bachchan & Hema Malini attend the award ceremony in recognition for his book, "Baghban"

"At the award ceremony, Raj (Amitabh Bachchan) and Pooja (Hema Malini) are present along with their son Alok (Salman Khan) and his wife. At the ceremony, the host calls upon Raj’s (Amitabh Bachchan) son to speak a few words about him. All his children think Ajay (Aman Verma) will be called ahead; but are surprised to see Alok (Salman Khan) take the stage & later he invites his father to speak a few words. He explains to everyone that he is not a writer and his book, ""Baghban"" is not a story about an individual, but about the conflict between the future and the past. The media poses various questions to Raj (Amitabh Bachchan); one of which is, how would he react if his children behaved in the way mentioned in the book? Raj (Amitabh Bachchan) replies he would disown his children, if they fail to provide love, respect and shelter for their parents & walks away, while the children follow Pooja (Hema Malini) & plead for forgiveness. Pooja (Hema Malini) rejects their plea as a wife, as she cannot forgive them for the amount of pain they had given to her husband. Raj (Amitabh Bachchan) feels happy to see Rahul (Yash Pathak) and Payal (Rimi Sen) and hugs them, while the entire family looks on."
