Bag Raiders Talk LA Priest: Rhapsody On the Record (VIDEO)
Bag Raiders’ Jack Glass and Chris Stracey joined us outside our San Francisco office to take our On the Record challenge, in which they had 45 seconds to talk about their favorite album. They chose the new album Inji from quirky artist LA Priest whose blend of post-modern pop and disco house grooves stole their hearts. After having been awake for almost 24 hours and surviving a NY-SF plane flight they do a pretty good job!
The Australian electronic music duo is in the midst of a little globe-trotting, performing in South America as well as California, and are releasing three EPs as well as an upcoming album. That’s no surprise really, given that Glass and Stracey have been fiddling with the knobs for their own hits (2007’s “Fun Punchâ€) as well as remixing for the likes of Kid Sister, Cut Copy, Lost Valentinos, Muscles and others.
If you’re wondering what it is that makes these two tap their feet, just watch Bag Raiders talk about their newest favorite album that will “surely get you grooving.†-- Olivia Parriott
