Richard Pell on Centre for Postnatural History - Alter Nature: We Can | Z33
artist talk: Richard Pell about the Centre for Postnatural History. The CPNH researches and exhibits living organisms that have been altered through processes such as selective breeding and genetic engineering.
During the Alter Nature: We Can exhibition (21.11.2010 - 13.03.2011), the CPNH will present a construction consisting of a range of pieces from their collection: a transgenic chestnut leaf, a transgenic pheasant, several zebrafish, a transgenic mosquito and, last but not least, a video. Various information cards will provide detailed explanations of the transgenic organisms on display. And finally, the lounge will display a book in which the CPNH lists a number of strategies to prevent genetic copying (Strategies in Genetic Copy Prevention).
