It Isn’t Fair (Himber-Warshauer-Sprigato) by Sammy Kaye & his Orchestra, vocal by Don Cornell
In 1950, after many years of swinging and swaying, Don Cornell went solo, departing the Sammy Kaye band with a bang! This final Kaye-Cornell collaboration was a million-selling hit, spent nearly six months on the record charts, and remained (along with “I’m Yoursâ€) one of Cornell’s signature tunes throughout his long career.
New to much of 1950’s younger generation, “It Isn’t Fair†had been a popular hit back in 1933, serving also as theme for the band of Richard Himber, co-writer of the song.
