Franklin Joseph Lymon, mejor conocido como Frankie (30 de septiembre de 1942 � 27 de febrero de 1968), fue un cantante y compositor afroamericano de doo wop, rock and roll y rhythm and blues. Se le recuerda principalmente por ser el cantante-l�der de la famosa y pionera banda neoyorquina "The Teenagers", los cuales tuvieron �xito con la canci�n "Why Do Fools Fall in Love?". Cuando ten�a 25 a�os se le encontr� muerto en el cuarto de ba�o de su abuela, debido a una sobredosis de hero�na. Su vida inspir� la pel�cula Why Do Fools Fall In Love? (1998).
