Ben Howard performing "Depth Over Distance" on KCRW

Ben Howard earned critical praise early on for his compelling live shows in and around London and his native Devonshire. The ever-growing word of mouth goodwill caught the attention of Island Records, which won over Howard due to the legacy there forged by a couple of his musical heroes - John Martyn and Nick Drake. His debut release, Every Kingdom, has achieved gold status in the UK and is gaining ground in the US, as evidenced by his back-to-back sold out shows this week at the Troubadour, his first appearances ever on the West Coast.
