She released her first album at the peak of the teen pop era during the late '90's. She was marketed as a contrast to Britney Spears due to her more innocent image and powerful singing voice. Simpson went on to release three more pop albums, two Christmas albums and a country album as well as run a successful business. Released in late 1999, Sweet Kisses peaked at #25 in the US and three singles were released.
