"Deep Purple"- Nino Tempo and April Stevens

Brother and sister duo. Nino was a member of "the wrecking crew" and played on a number of Phil Spector recordings in the late 50's and early 60's. "Deep Purple" was recorded in Oct. 1962 but "mothballed" until late 1963. It went to number 1 in November, 1963 and won a grammy for "best rock and roll recording of 1963.
