Teresa Brewer Music! Music! Music! 1950

This was a huge hit for Teresa in 1950, serving as her signature song throughout her career. Surprisingly, some radio stations refused to play it because they suspected the line "I'll do anything for you, anything you'd want me to" meant she'd REALLY do anything you wanted her to, just as long as you kept feeding coins into the nickelodeon. Really, some people have such dirty minds, and other people just love to try and stifle the imagination of those dirty minds. Fortunately, in the case of this recording, enough dirty minds prevailed to take it all the way to #1! The piano on this track always bothers me. It sounds like something is laying up against the strings, perhaps a couple of dozen rolls of nickles?
