STORYLINE
Indian crew members from the shipwrecked cruise liner Costa Concordia returned to Mumbai on Thursday to be reunited with their families.
Rahul Raghav, 34, who worked in the food and beverage department, was given an emotional welcome by his parents, who joined him to pose for photographers.
He described what had happened on the capsizing ship as a "bad dream."
Another crew member, bartender Bharat Paithankar, 36, said he was the second to last person to disembark from the ship.
"I was very, very scared, I was crying," he said, adding that he had not decided yet if he would ever go back to working onboard cruise liners.
Only six of the 203 Indians who were aboard the Costa Concordia were on the flight that landed in Mumbai on Thursday.
Another small group arrived in New Delhi earlier on Thursday.
Authorities said nearly all the Indian crew members are expected back within a few days aboard flights arriving around India.
The Costa Concordia, which slammed into a reef on Friday off the Tuscan island of Giglio after the captain made what has been called an unauthorised manoeuvre.
