Old Man River is from the Broadway musical "Showboat" by Jerome Kern. Sheet music is available here: http://www.onlinesheetmusic.com/ol-man-river-p383217.aspx I was lucky enough to be in the Coast Guard Band when we accompanied the legendary William Warfield as he sang a memorable rendition of this, the most well- known piece from the show. It is usually sung by a man with a low, rich voice like Warfield's, so it is a perfect showcase for euphonium! The recording was made with a Canon digital camcorder, an Audio-Technica AT-825 stereo microphone, and a portable digital audio recorder.
