New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Kellee Bradley official website) Awarding winning singer/songwriter Kellee Bradley celebrates the release of their new CD "
Milestones". The CD features ten tracks, all written by Bradley and performed in collaboration with other noted musical talents. From the rollicking "
Good News" to the heartfelt love of "
I Believe", to the inspirational "
Celebrate" and through the funky blues sound of "Simple As That" the album is filled with original soulful melodies destined to become favorites.
This project has been 9 years in the making and features songs that represent milestones in Kellee's life, and the lives of the people she loves.
Bradley noted, "I suddenly realized it had been nine years since my last CD, and thought 'how did that happen?' I have been so busyfacing life's challenges, adapting, learning and growing. As I've navigated through the changes, I realized all the milestones that have shaped my life, and how I have had to change in ways I never thought possible."
These personal events have stirred Kellee and motivated her to capture them in her distinctive, passionate song writing style. Featuring Kellee's powerful vocals and backed by a proven talent pool of artists, the album flows impeccably from track to track. Recorded at Veneto West in
Santa Monica California with producerRonan Chris Murphy, it features amazing musicians like Kim Bullard (Elton John, CSN, Cher), Chad Quist (Big
Brother and the Holding Company,
Glenn Yarborough), Gary Sparling, Doug Carr,
Aaron Barber, Laurie Geltman, and Curtis Fornadley.
"All of the pain, the sorrow and the joy of life shapes us andsmooth's us, like stones in a stream. Like those stones, you can toss me around but you can't keep me from becoming a thing of beauty and grace. So why not open our arms to life, to the milestones that make us who we are," Bradley stated.
Bradley's voice has been compared to many of the finest female vocalists of our time, including
Karen Carpenter,
Linda Ronstad and Sheryl Crow, but she has a sound all her own. Kellee sings about love, loss, survival and grit. Her life road has taken her many places, and drawing on her own challenges and insights, Kellee crafts lushly-textured tales that speak to the heart and soul of the human experience.
This is Kellee's fourth CD, with her previous work winning numerous songwriting competitions, including First Place in the USA Songwriting Competition's Lyrics Category. She's opened for national artists like Chicago, John Mellencamp, Huey Lewis, JoDee Messina, the Steve Miller Band,
Christopher Cross,
