Robert Plant And The Sensational Space Shifters To Play Brooklyn Bowl
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Some 800 lucky fans will have the chance to see Robert Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters in one of their most intimate gigs to date. This Thursday, October 9, 2014, they will play a late-night set at the Brooklyn Bowl. Heading straight to the venue after an appearance on The Colbert Report that night, they will take the stage just after midnight. The special event will feature a DJ set from Questlove to start off the night. Tickets will go on sale this Tuesday, October 7, at 3pm ET.

This Thursday's show follows Plant's previously scheduled North American tour, which comes to a close Tuesday night in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium. The tour, featuring music from Plant's new album, lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar, his Nonesuch / Warner Bros. Records debut album, included two nights at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) last week as part of the Nonesuch Records at BAM celebration of the label's 50th anniversary.

While in Brooklyn, "Mr. Plant and some of his band members visited Brooklyn Bowl, the psychedelic club, which features a bowling alley next to its stage and dance floor," reports the New York Times. "The backing musicians bowled while Mr. Plant, apparently unrecognized by the public, took in part of a burlesque show, [club co-founder Peter] Shapiro said. A few days later he agreed to play the space."
