Jessica Simpson Reality Tour Live DVD will be in stores on Tuesday, November 23.
Named in honor of her grandmother, ReJoyce The Christmas Album is Jessica's yuletide present to fans and music lovers everywhere, a holiday package brimming over with some of Jessica's favorite holiday songs, fresh interpretations of seasonal music ranging from timeless Christmas carols to contemporary holiday standards. "ReJoyce is a Christmas prayer answered," writes Jessica in the album's dedication. "In loving memory of Joyce Adams Simpson 'Nanny.' Merry Christmas and Thank You for your inspiration. Your memory lives in my melody."
Christmas is a special time for families and Jessica shares her gift of song on a pair of delightful duets, joining her husband, Nick Lachey, on "Baby, It's Cold Outside," and her sister, Ashlee Simpson, on "The Little Drummer Boy." Nick and Jessica even share co-writing credits (with the album's producer, billymann, and Chris Rojas) on the future Christmas classic, "It's Christmas Time Again."
Several of the tracks on ReJoyce The Christmas Album may be found in advance of the album's November 23 release date on Jessica Simpson: A Special Limited Edition Christmas Collection, available now exclusively at 7-Eleven stores nationwide.
Simpson, whose most recent album, In This Skin, has sold more than three million copies, recently received her first-ever American Music Awards nominations, including Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album as well as People's Choice Awards nominations for her single, "Take My Breath Away," and for "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica."
She is currently filming her "dream role," playing the female lead character, Daisy Duke, in Warner Bros. much-anticipated feature film, "The Dukes of Hazzard," inspired by the hit 1970s TV series.
ABC will air "Nick & Jessica's Family Christmas," the couple's second variety special, on December 1, featuring performances of both duets and solo selections from ReJoyce The Christmas Album.
