New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On October 9th, Brooklyn-based indie-pop group FEVER HIGH will release their debut EP All Work. Comprised of singer/instrumentalists Anna Nordeen and Reni Lane, Fever High's sound is retro-tinged, danceable indie pop, with infectious choruses, lush harmonies, and an irresistible blend of analog synths and organic textures.
Recorded with collaborator/producer Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne), Bitch Magazine just premiered the full EP, saying All Work is "full of sparkly analog synth sounds and drum beats that'll make you dance in your desk chair."
NPR
Music premiered the EP's title track "All Work" over Labor Day weekend, with Katie Presley calling it "breezy, simple and fun — everything a three-day weekend should be."
Fever High's first single "Tantalized" premiered at Nerdist, who called it "ebullient pop music that is made for dancing carelessly away those final nights of summer. A repetitive, familiar dance-floor synth line provides the backbone to the track, while Nordeen and Lane's iridescent vocals brighten the song like an LED disco ball."
Reni Lane is a singer/songwriter who plays numerous instruments, including piano, guitar, bass, trumpet and trombone. She released a solo album on Universal Motown, and has since collaborated and/or toured with The Like, Joseph Arthur, the Eurythmics' Dave Stewart,
Linda Perry, Howie Day, and others.
Anna Nordeen is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter. She recently released a solo EP entitled "You Know Where I Am" and has also acted in various indie films.
Adam Schlesinger is best known a member of the power-pop quartet Fountains Of Wayne. He has also been in the bands IVY and Tinted Windows, and writes and produces music for film and television and for other artists.
Fever High has recently begun playing shows as a quartet, rounding out their live line-up with drummer Brian Wolfe (Sufjan Stevens,
David Byrne/St. Vincent).
