New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Season 9 Contestant Barrett Barber Performs Tucker's 1972 Classic
Baber's song choice for the singing competition's third week of live performances was his rendition of the country music icon's first hit when she was 13 years old.
"Barrett sure put a modern twist on that ole song and sang the fire out those lyrics! Very impressive. "Delta Dawn" will always hold a special place in my heart and I am grateful that he chose to perform it in front of a whole new audience," Tucker said.
This week Tucker will kick off Deck the Hall at the Country
Music Hall of FameĀ® and Museum on Friday, Nov. 27. Festivities will begin at 4 p.m. with a brief performance from Tucker that will include her hits as well as some holiday classics.
