New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Countin' Down Summertime, the second single from Southern California pop country artist Dannie Marie's forthcoming album, impacts country radio on June 20 the official first day of summer. Introducing Dannie Marie's brand of bro country with a dose of estrogen, this song is about tailgate parties, dirt road dance floors, and summer love but from a female perspective. According to Heath Shelby, Program Director at KWCK in Searcy, Arkansas, Countin' Down Summertime is something country music needs. It's a bright, upbeat anthem that should be the official theme of summertime. The new single, which was recorded in Nashville, will be released to country radio stations in the US and Canada via the digital distributor Play MPE.
Dannie Marie began promoting Countin' Down Summertime to country radio in March on her Flyover States Radio Tour. She met with music directors, programmers, and DJs at a dozen stations in six states, where she did on-air interviews and acoustic performances. Another radio tour is in the works for later this summer in the Midwest. In 2015, Dannie Marie did conference room shows and interviews at 30 country stations from California to Idaho to Tennessee after releasing her debut single Anything I Wanna Be to country radio. Dannie Marie's family is part of her team. Her mom helps plan tour logistics and her brother backs her on guitar on radio tours and at live performances, including their recent gig at Arizona's largest country music festival -- Country Thunder.
The official lyric video is on the artist website at www.DannieMarie.com. Countin' Down Summertime will be available on iTunes and Spotify when it hits country radio June 20.
