NEW YORK (Big Fish Productions/ www.legendofblues.com) - Legendary blues guitarists Buddy Guy and Little Milton will headline "Blues Express - Legends of the Blues," an historic gathering at New York's Lincoln Center on January 28, which will bring together most of the living legends of the blues on one stage.

This once-in-a-lifetime event will feature the finest and most important living blues musicians of the last 75 years, celebrating the contribution of these living legends to the roots and soul of the blues and their significance to the history and heritage of music.

"I'm looking forward in bringing the Chicago Blues to Lincoln Center," said Buddy Guy. "There are not many of us left and this is a once in a lifetime show. It's going to be a gas!"

Joining Buddy Guy and Little Milton will be musicians from the Mississippi Delta to Chicago, including: "Honeyboy" Edwards; Robert Lockwood Jr.; The Muddy Waters Band featuring James Cotton (harmonica), George "Mojo" Buford (vocals/harmonica), Calvin "Fuzz" Jones (bass), Willie "Big Eyes" Smith (drums), Pinetop Perkins (piano), and Bob Margolin (guitar); and The Howlin' Wolf Band featuring Henry Gray (piano/vocal), Jody Williams (guitar), Freddie Robinson (guitar/vocals), Eddie Shaw (sax), Sam Lay (drums), and Bob Stroger (bass).

"It's so rare that we can all get together for a show," said James Cotton. "It'll be like a family reunion! I am coming to boogie - for one night New York will be the home of the blues."

"These legendary blues artists have given so much to society," said Bernie Furshpan, President of Big Fish Productions, Inc., producer of "Blues Express - Legends of the Blues." "This show honors their love of music and the audience they share it with. We have assembled the best of the best of the legendary blues artists and it should be one of the most amazing concert events in NYC in 2005."

Ken Dashow, afternoon DJ at Q104.3-FM, New York's only classic rock station and sponsor of "Blues Express - Legends of the Blues," will MC the concert. "Every song we play on Q104.3 is a direct descendant from the Mississippi Delta Blues music of these great artists," Dashow said.

Other sponsors include Dream Hotel (official hotel of the Blues Express), Tower Records, the Village Voice, Moishe's Moving Systems, Techfusion, and South Bay Cardiovascular Heart Center.
