Denny Seiwell Trio To Perform At Just Jazz Live Concert Series
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Master Drummer Denny Seiwell, best known as a founding member/drummer of Paul McCartney's post Beatles group Wings. Originally a jazz artist, Seiwell was recruited by Paul McCartney to join Wings. His drumming can be heard on the original recording of "Live And Let Die," also the theme song for the 1973 epic James Bond film. His credits include the "RAM," "Wildlife" and "Red Rose Speedway" albums, which also featured the hit "My Love."

The Denny Seiwell Trio features ace players Joe Bagg (called a "masterful organist" by LA Times) and John Chiodini (guitarist/composer best known from Natalie Cole's "Unforgettable Tour"). New album Boomerang releases September 7 on Quarto Valley Records.

Leroy Downs and All Music Television in association with Mr Musichead Gallery presents a Jazzcat Curated Experience - "Just Jazz Live Concert Series." The popular live performance series features world class jazz musicians, many of whom are Grammy winning and/or Grammy nominated, in an intimate setting, with a cocktail mixer prior to show time.

Boomerang features 12 tracks of straight ahead jazz, ballads, and Brazilian infused classics, in addition to a preeminent jazz spin on "Live And Let Die" that only the most skilled of players can pull off. Seiwell's big - little band concept, with each member soloing more, created a magic that was nourished over the last several years. Additionally, he landed legendary recording engineer Al Schmitt (Quincy Jones, Steely Dan), who has amassed more than 20 Grammy Awards, to mix the project. Highly prolific mastering engineer Howie Weinberg (Herbie Hancock, Nirvana, Beastie Boys), also came onboard.

Seiwell's varied background includes performing with the elite of rock, pop, and funk including James Brown, Billy Joel, Art Garfunkel, Joe Cocker, Donovan and John Denver among others.

He is a legend in the jazz genre as well. His first recording was a 1968 jazz record with JJ Johnson and Kai Winding that still exists today. He's also recorded with Astrud Gilberto, Stanley Turrentine, Eumir Deodato, and Gary McFarland during this period.

Seiwell can also be heard on numerous film scores including Waterworld, The Postman, Atlantis, Dinosaurs, Trading Places and Bobby, among others, in addition to many TV shows of the day. He's also worked with the London Symphony Orchestra on their groundbreaking version of The Who's rock opera "Tommy."
