WINYL-Podcast About Wine & Music, Hosted By NY Times Best-Selling Author/Journalist Anthony Bozza To Launch Debut Episodes Live From Music Tastes Good This Fall
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Best-selling author/journalist and food/wine lover Anthony Bozza has announced plans to premiere the first episodes of his upcoming music and wine podcast, WINYL, live from the festival grounds of Music Tastes Good in Long Beach, CA this fall (September 30/October 1).

The episodes will be recorded in front of an audience of festival attendees and feature chats with several of the musicians and chefs on this year's Music Tastes Good lineup.

Additionally, WINYL and Music Tastes Good will host a curated VIP wine bar, with selections sourced by Wine Exchange.

Bozza says, "I'm very excited to be working with Wine Exchange to supply and select the wines that will be featured in all of the musician and chef interviews I do at Music Tastes Good. I'm also working with them to create the Winyl wine bar for VIP guests to enjoy. The Winyl bar will feature wines chosen by me, per day, inspired by the amazing artists on this year's bill. If you've ever wondered what Santigold's music would taste like as a wine, at Music Tastes Good, you'll get the chance to find out!"

Bozza, a former Rolling Stone columnist and celebrity biographer has authored/co-authored numerous books on a wide-ranging assortment of high profile pop culture figures such as Tommy Lee, Slash, INXS. Tracy Morgan, Artie Lange, Mick Fleetwood, Wyclef Jean and Derek Jeter, to name a few.

With WINYL, Bozza will combine his music and wine obsessions into a fun, engaging and user-friendly podcast meant not for the snooty wine aficionado, or music snob, but for the rest of us. The show will offer up a diverse lineup of special guests from all aspects of popular culture and will examine the surprising correlation between fine wine and great music.
Watch for additional announcements about his first guests and catch Bozza in- person at Music Tastes Good this fall.

Winyl: Between the Crackle and the Pop
Winyl is a 30-minute podcast about wine and music that lives between the crackle of a vinyl record and the pop of an emancipated cork. It is a show about pairings, the perfect wine for the right record, or the perfect record for the right wine. It is an opportunity for winemakers, chefs and mixologists to discuss their favorite albums and for musicians to discuss their favorite wines. It is an interview show that goes where the muse, the music, the libation and the conversation takes it.

When host Anthony Bozza got a hold of a Paolo Colla Barolo (his favorite version of his favorite grape, Nebbiolo) from his birth year, 1971, he decided to play his top records from that same year, on vinyl, while drinking it. When he heard "Dead Flowers," off of the Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers and realized that the song perfectly encapsulated the tasting notes of the wine, at that moment, Winyl was born.

Anthony is known for his success as a music journalist, biographer and celebrity co-writer, and lesser known for his interest in all things food and wine. His travels have taken him around the country and the world, where he has always found friends and kindred spirits in the fine dining community. Winyl is where his two worlds come together. He will talk about music with people who usually talk about wine, and talk about wine with people who usually talk about music. All of them, like Anthony, passionately care about both.
