Career-Spanning Greatest Hits Collection 'The Best Of Kenny Rogers: Through The Years' Available Today On CD And Digital
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) In an incredible career that's established him as a both a singular attraction and a one-of-a-kind performer, Kenny Rogers has racked up a songbook like no other. Combining a warm and wise vocal persona with an unmistakable romantic sensibility that's consistently struck a responsive nerve with his fans, the three-time Grammy®-winner maintained a firm hold on the charts through the 1970s and 1980s, establishing himself as America's most beloved male vocalist in the process.

Rogers, who just celebrated his 80th birthday, has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, including a diamond award for ten million copies of his album Greatest Hits, which spent an entire decade on Billboard's album chart and sold over 24 million copies worldwide.
It's hard to imagine a more comprehensive keepsake of the Texas-bred hitmaker's magnificent chart reign than the newly assembled 20-song collection The Best Of Kenny Rogers: Through the Years, released on CD and digital today via Capitol Nashville/UMe. The stellar collection demonstrates the timeless cultural impact of Rogers' musical output. Through the Years also coincides with the 40th anniversary of the original release of Rogers' trademark 1978 blockbuster The Gambler. Through the Years' impressively eclectic tracklist encompasses the artist's knack for choosing songs with a universal appeal and performing them with an emotional resonance that's stuck with listeners. That's certainly the case with such indelible tunes as "The Gambler," which was nominated for a Grammy® as 1980's Record of the Year, not to mention Best Male Country Vocal Performance, the CMA Single of the Year "Lucille," and the deeply romantic "She Believes in Me" and "You Decorated My Life." The landmark Lionel Richie-penned ballad "Lady" became a hit on the Pop, Adult Contemporary, Country and R&B charts, and was nominated for Record and Best Male Pop Performance in 1981.

Also featured on Through the Years are several of Rogers' most memorable duets, including "Don't Fall in Love with a Dreamer" (with Kim Carnes), "What Are We Doin' In Love" (with Dottie West), "Make No Mistake, She's Mine" (featuring Ronnie Milsap) and a memorable reworking of Bob Seger's "We've Got Tonight" (featuring the unmistakable voice of Sheena Easton).

Also available again is Rogers' long-unavailable 1981 holiday classic Christmas. Now back in print today as a vinyl LP after being difficult to find for several decades, the memorable seasonal offering combines holiday standards with original material custom-written for Rogers' distinctive persona.
