midwxst Shares New Single & Video
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) midwxst shares his new single and video "Bluffing". "Bluffing" reveals an evolved sonic territory for midwxst with funk and pop-influenced grooves and catchy melodies. The new song arrives coupled with visuals directed by Zach Madden, beginning with midwxst on the set of his recently shared video for "Care" while the camera follows him behind the scenes as he moves from video shoot to photoshoot, never stopping.

2021 has been a busy and successful year for midwxst. "Bluffing" follows close behind his latest offerings "Shame" and "Care" as well as his EP BACK IN ACTION, where in a celebratory review Pitchfork noted, "he sounds more confident than ever" praising how the project shows him, "sharpening his style without losing the irreverence that makes up his volatile vision." Over the 8-track project, midwxst hones in on his genre-fusing, playful sound including previously released singles "Slide" featuring Ericdoa and Slump6s, "Tic Tac Toe," "Made It Back," and "All Talk".

From the oft-overlooked state of Indiana, midwxst, born Edgar Sarratt III, is a genre-defier combining hyperpop and digicore with hip-hop alongside candid lyrics that reveal he isn't afraid to let his true feelings show. midwxst shares, "A lot of people expected me to be a trapper, rapping about guns and all the generic mainstream stuff. When I talk about how your own mental health and emotions can be the most dangerous thing you possess, especially as a teenager or young adult, people get such a different vibe from me and that's what I strive for."
