Aligned With His Tour Supporting Will Young, Kris James Releases New Ballad 'Home'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) As a new teaser of his upcoming second album, Liverpool singer/songwriter Kris James unveils the hopeful heart-warming ballad 'Home'. A complete contrast to his previous disco-funk-inspired release 'The Way You Move,' Kris James slows it down for the cosy season with escalating wide soundscapes, a gospel choir and accompanying soft piano. The new single 'Home' will be released on October 7th. Ahead of the Will Young tour, Kris James will also be supporting Anastacia on her 'I'm Outta Lockdown' tour throughout September across Europe in Geneva, Rome, Florence and more.

Kris James showed off his versatility with his self-titled debut album, and he does not intend to stop there. Following up the groovy, catchy 'The Way You Move' with 'Home,' James proves he can swing both ways once again. From a dance floor filler to a fireplace playlist, a family sing-along must-play for the upcoming season. He shares what inspired the track: "Home was a song Stewart Boyle, Sam Williams and I wrote together trying to capture the feeling of having that special person in your life, the one that you know will always be there for you, who makes everything worthwhile. For those lucky enough, the thing that makes a house a home is the person or people in it, not the place itself. This song is about how seeing that person can feel like 'coming home.' It's so easy to get wrapped up in the day-to-day goings on of life, and overlook what really matters; if you've got that person in your life, never go a day without telling them you love them!

As an impactful melody, we just felt we had to match the sentiment of the song with the gospel choir in the recording. I'm so pleased with how it turned out, and I'd like to think this is one of the best songs I've ever written."

Kris James will also be returning to our stages, as he joins up with original Pop Idol winner and International Pop Superstar Will Young on his upcoming commemorative 20 Years Tour. Opening on the 10th of October, the two-month tour will voyage all around the UK, visiting the likes of York's Barbican, Edinburgh's Usher Hall, Manchester's O2 Apollo and London's Palladium.
"I'm so excited Kris James will be joining my 20 Years tour this October. I love supporting new artists and I'm sure the audiences are going to love him." - Will Young

"I'm super hyped for the will tour, I smile when thinking about the fact that we are back on stage again! Its been a long time coming and I can't wait for people to hear the album and also the new music I've been working on" says Kris.

The Liverpool-born singer/songwriter, with an inspiring story to tell, has also made it to signing a brand new deal with Fairwood Music Publishing (longstanding publishers of the likes of David Bowie). Besides his music endeavours, Kris James is the founder of Amanzzo, a new luxury, a sustainable menswear brand that launched its debut swimwear collection, produced using recycled and repurposed materials such as ECONYL. James aims '"to deliver luxury quality at affordable prices, and prioritise sustainability at every avenue, from production through to packaging and shipment without compromising on style or quality".
