New York, NY (Top40 Charts) London's melodic storyteller Tom Speight shares new single, 'Trick of the Light', scheduled for the 7th of July. The latest reveal acts as the lead single from his eagerly anticipated third record, 'Love & Light', arriving on the 11th of August via Nettwerk Music, an album almost certain to boost Tom's achievements of over 200 million streams and 1 million monthly listeners on all streaming platforms.

'Trick of the Light' shines forth as a radiant gem in Tom Speight's musical collection. Enveloped by the dazzling strums of acoustic guitars, Tom's vocals soar with glowing spirit, infusing melody with infectious energy into anthem choruses. Accompanied by a music video recorded at London's RAK Studios.

Talking about his lead single, Tom states that, "'Trick Of The Light' was one of the quickest songs I've ever written. Co-written with Matt Hales (Aqualung, Lianne La Havas) we had a burst of inspiration after I came up with the guitar riff. It's a song about the initial meeting of someone when they seem out of this world… the feeling of, is this person even real? Sonically inspired by War On Drugs & Springsteen with the Synths & Wall of Sound approach. I think it's going to be a huge live song for me."

Tom Speight's latest album, 'Love & Light', is a powerful exploration of love, loss, and hope, delving deep into his own personal experiences and emotions, with tracks like 'Let Go', which was added to Radio 2's New To 2 playlist. Continuing to pay homage to some of Tom's biggest inspirations, including Damien Rice, Sufjan Stevens, and John Mayer, whilst also exploring fresh territory reminiscent of Dermot Kennedy and Tom Grennan. Opening single 'The One' showcased Tom's exceptional lyrical talents, drawing comparisons to Tom Odell's introspective approach, and quickly caught the attention of the Independent's track of the week, with more praise from the likes of Wonderland, METAL, Headliner, and Music News.

Detailing his newest record, Tom reveals, "I've touched on things in this record that I've never spoken about before; it's, without doubt, my most personal to date."

Tom's third album marks another milestone in his career, building on the success of his previous two standout albums, which have featured on both the big and small screens, including hit shows like The Voice, Strictly, Masterchef, To All the Boys, being the most played artist in 2021's season of Love Island, as well as the music video for his new single 'The One' being played on Sunday Brunch. Tom has also been a fixture on UK television, sharing his story and work on ITV News, BBC Breakfast, and Sky News. Tom's music has earned high praise from some of the UK's most respected publications, including The Telegraph, The Times, and The Metro.

His music has connected with fans across the globe, with his heartfelt performances earning him support slots with the likes of James Bay, Stereophonics, and Maisie Peters. This year, Tom will embark on his biggest UK headline tour to date.

Tom is also a big supporter of the suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and will be performing live at their forthcoming CALM sessions. Tom said, "If raising awareness of CALM and the issues around suicide helps just one person to reach out and talk, it's worth it. I want to use my platform to help break the stigma that prevents people from opening up before they reach the point of crisis.''

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) stands united against suicide with everyone in the UK. The campaign is led through vital, life-saving support, impactful conversations and collective action. If you're struggling, talk to CALM on 0800 58 58 58 (UK) or through our webchat.
