Another highlight for Troy at this week's country music festival in Tamworth was when US country music star, Drew Womack, tracked him down to tell him he had just bought his album and loved his work.

Australian country music colleagues of Troy Cassar-Daley paid tribute to their mate. Felicity Urquhart pointed out that "he's on fire!" And Kevin Bennett of The Flood was happy that Troy could not enter his Vocal Group category saying: "Thanks to Troy for not being in this category!" And while commenting on Troy's Golden Guitars and the Brighter Day album, Lee Kernaghan said: "If his night gets any brighter, he's gonna need sunglasses." While accepting his album award, John Williamson said, "Troy I thought you had it (the album award) for sure, I really did."
