Once upon a time a tall blonde Australian Singer Songwriter moved to New York City and played in the piano bar at The Duplex to a group of boys and girls who returned each week for more soaring melodies and the latest trials and tribulations of her love life through song.

She left The Duplex to tour the country with Cyndi Lauper, she fell in love, went to Vegas to get married, started writing happy songs, sang to 80,000 people at the NY Jets Game, traveled to Africa to increase awareness about child sponsorship in Zambia, released her CD 'Kissing Someone Else' at Joe's Pub, and was awarded a green card.

Karen Jacobsen "the diva from down under" returns to her home away from home in NYC with the series "Stripped Down at The Duplex". Her songs will be performed 'naked', solo at the grand piano, with Karen looking her glamorous best. Each show will feature a different special guest and a completely unique set list from Karen's repertoire.

Come on down to hear that 'never-seen-a-cigarette-in-her-life' voice in this special series of solo concerts.
