NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Universal Motown Records) - Universal Motown Records recording artists
Blue October have announced their Sorry Boy
Burns Bright fall tour and the release of a premium edition of the platinum-plus modern rock masterpiece Foiled, entitled, Foiled For The Last Time, which hits stores and the digital domain on
September 25th.
Alt-rock favorites Yellowcard and Universal Motown's Shiny Toy Guns will share the stage with Blue October from the first date to last, making it a true fall music event. Tickets for this must-see concert go on-sale to the general public for all shows on June 22-23. However, exclusive Pre-sale tickets for a few of the shows were made available via each of the three band's websites on June 9. The highly anticipated trek kicks off on September 20, in Atlanta, GA, (see below) and is currently scheduled to run through mid-November, and includes shows in Philadelphia, Dallas, Orlando and New York City. Ozma will open up for the first leg through October 6 (Detroit, MI), with Lovedrug joining the bill in St. Charles, MO on October 9, and throughout the rest of the tour.
Foiled For The Last Time is a two-disc set consisting of the full version of the Foiled album; 14 newly recorded songs performed live earlier this year during the band's Teach Your Baby Well tour; exclusive remixes by legendary DJ/Composer Paul Oakenfold (U2, Moby, New Order) and Grammy nominated producer/remixer/musician Carmen Rizzo (Coldplay, Pete Townshend); a remix of fan favorite, 'Calling You'; and, a live version of 'Angel,' are among the bonus offerings, as well as links to exclusive video content and never-before-seen footage of the band.
Foiled was certified platinum in the US and Canada in February of this year by the RIAA, buoyed by the hits, 'Hate Me,' which hovered for more than six months in the Modern Rock Top 10, and, 'Into The Ocean' which reached No 1 on VH-1. A succession of sold-out tours cemented the Texas band's reputation as a new healing force in music, with Justin Furstenfeld's evocative lyrics attracting a diverse and growing audience for the Houston based five-some, who have been together since 1996.
The group is also readying for their annual summer tour which kicks off - where else – but in the great state of Texas - New Braunfels, to be exact - on July 6-7 (log on to their tour website www.blueoctober.com for the entire schedule), and, will include appearances at Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits Festival.
The following is the most up-to-date schedule for the fall tour. Look for additional tour dates to be announced on July 9th.
