New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Two-time GRAMMY nominee Ledisi adds one more accolade to her dossier with this year's BET Awards.
The "powerhouse belter" (Los Angeles Times) is nominated alongside Chaka Khan, Jill Scott, Raheem DeVaughn and Angie Stone for the BET J Award honoring genre-bending artists.
The BET Awards will air live on BET network at 8:00 pm ET on Tuesday, June 24th from Los Angeles at The Shrine Auditorium.

Ledisi takes a break from playing headlining tour dates and prominent festivals including the JVC Jazz Festivals and the Essence Jazz Festival for her national television debut.
On Saturday June 28th Ledisi will perform "Alright" from 'Lost & Found'(Verve) on the CBS Saturday Early Show. She'll also host and perform on three episodes of BET's Lyric Cafe taped in Washington, DC June 6th-9th and set to air this fall.
The Lyric Cafe is the ultimate spoken-word experience, as some of today's top wordsmiths (Rahsaan Patterson, Musiq Soulchild, etc.) display their verbal agility in harmony with jazz, soul, hip hop, alternative, funk, and rock.
