New York, NY. (Top 40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - On 'The Quiet Hype' (Chime/Fontana/ March 17), urban-electro duo Jupiter Rising's sophomore album, they practically dare listeners not to sing along with their effortlessly memorable hooks, bright vocals and crisp production. This potent combination made music from their 2006 debut 'Electropop' a mainstay of sports arenas, TV show soundtracks, and commercials nationwide. On uptempo tracks like 'Tres Cool,' 'Follow Me,' and the first single 'Falling Away', producer/vocalist Spencer Nezey and vocalist Jessie Payo craft party-starters in the same vein as kindred artistic spirits The Black Eyed Peas (for whom Jupiter Rising has opened) and UK-based dance-rockers The Ting Tings. But, writes URB Magazine, 'just when you think they may be part of the latest trend of electro duos, your eardrums are struck with a soulful ballad.' Songs like 'Guarded' and the title cut show off the band's soulful creative depths. Nezey and Payo even indulge in a little social commentary on 'LA Girls,' skewering the shallow culture of LA with a chorus of the 'must-haves' for any stylish southern Cali resident: 'Prada Bag, Gucci Shoes, Louis V, Jimmy Choos'. 'The Quiet Hype' refuses to stick to a single style; its grooves are contemporary, but strive for timelessness. 'Our goal is to make music people can relate to, yet that is also new, fresh, and different,' emphasizes Payo. 'Something that is going to last, that has a little more depth.' Fans will be able to catch Jupiter Rising on tour in early 2009. 'The Quiet Hype' Track List 1. Falling Away 2. Tres Cool 3. Guarded 4. Flip My Switch 5. The Quiet Hype 6. Over Again 7. Follow me 8.
