LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Hollywood Music In Media Awards)- The Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA), the most anticipated music awards event of the fall, will take place November 22, 2009 at The Highlands located in the world-famous Hollywood & Highlands Kodak Theater complex in Hollywood, California. Today, the HMMA is proud not only to announce the launch of its new website, www.hmmawards.com, but also the official CALL FOR ENTRIES open to artists from around the globe for nomination consideration, and this is creating a fresh new buzz in the music industry.

The Hollywood Music in Media Awards recognizes and honors the music of visual mediums, the talented individuals responsible, the music of independent artists from around the globe and is the first music awards event to recognize and honor excellence in music supervision and to place video games as a contemporary visual medium along side TV and film, where both mainstream and independent artists are honored. Iconic artists are also presented with special Outstanding Career Achievements for accomplishments and longevity in entertainment. The evening will feature live music performances, award presentations, celebrities appearances, an exclusive VIP reception and dinner banquet catered by Wolfgang Puck, Inc and will be shot with multiple HD cameras for digital and cable televised broadcast in 17 countries and U.S. territories (120 Million households) for maximum exposure.

This year, the HMMA is also the only red carpet style awards show in the world to include a comprehensive interactive industry conference experience designed to offer opportunities and further the careers of all involved. The Music in Media Interactive Conference (MIMI Conference) will take place November 20-22 at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel featuring panels, seminars, workshops, interactive displays, keynote address and luncheon. In addition, outstanding organizations such as The Guild of Music Supervisors, The Daniel Pearl Foundation, American Heart Association and The Seany Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding the cure for pediatric cancers are proud partners with the HMMA.

The inaugural awards event last year was staggering success attended by over 1300 artists, industry professionals, celebrities and music lovers. Presenters, recipients and VIPs included Gilby Clarke (Guns&Roses), Steve Rushton (Disney/Hollywood Records), Chuck Negron (Three Dog Night), Howard Hewett (R&B legend), Bai Ling, Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Jim Dooley (composer) and many more. Last year's inaugural 'Seany Robins Rock Award' was presented to rock artist winner Starving for Gravity. A complete list of 2008 award winners can be seen here.
