Css Signs To V2 / Cooperative Music, New Album Out August 29th
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Girlie Action Media & Marketing) Brazilian band CSS have signed a licensing deal with V2 Music to release their new album La Liberacion through the Cooperative Music network worldwide (excluding Japan and Brazil) onAugust 29. In the US, it will be released on V2 / Cooperative Music / Downtown Records.

Previously signed to Sub Pop out of the US, the band have released two successful and critically acclaimed albums Cansei de Ser Sexy in 2006, and Donkey in 2008. CSS' third opus has been recorded in the band's own studio in Sao Paulo, Brazil and features collaborations with Bobby Gillespie and Ratatat.

Vincent Clery-Melin, Cooperative Music General Manager, said "We've been fans of CSS ever since they released their first album via Sub Pop five years ago and are very happy they have chosen Co-Op as the home for their new album. This is the album as fans we've always hoped they would make !"

Adriano Cintra, bass player and long time producer for CSS says " We are really happy to have Co-OP release this record and we can't wait for people to hear it."

Lovefoxxx, singer for the band added "my mantra for this record is ' Rip Shit' and that is what we do on La Liberacion"

Cooperative Music is a multi-territory independent label group and an international marketing network, originally set up in April 2005 as a division on V2 Music in Europe and now owned by Universal Music Group International. Cooperative Music's roster of labels include Bella Union, DFA Recordings, Downtown Music, Heavenly Recordings, Kitsune, Lex Records, Mexican Summer/ Kemado Records, Moshi Moshi Records, Rabid Records, Transgressive Records, V2 Music, and Wichita Recordings.

CSS will be touring with Sleigh Bells in North America through April and will also perform at Coachella festival. They will be touring this summer and autumn in Europe.
