NEW YORK (EMI/Liberty Records press release) - Following the critical success of The Stranglers long-awaited and much-anticipated 'Norfolk Coast' on EMI Liberty Records last month, the band release their second single from the album, 'Long Black Veil' on 12th April.

'Long Black Veil' will be available in two different formats:
1) CD Maxi Single: 'Long Black Veil' (radio edit)/'Life's Too Short' (brand new previously unreleased song), 'Waltzinblack' (as featured on latest Vodaphone TV ads) and 'Long Black Veil' (extended album version)
2) 7" red vinyl: 'Long Black Veil', 'Waltzinblack'

The Stranglers recently completed a sell-out headline tour of the UK and are currently riding high on the success of 'Norfolk Coast', which is universally acclaimed as their best album for many years.
'Norfolk Coast' typifies all the distinctive signatures of the classic Stranglers sound, travelling through high-speed rock, driving rhythms, anthemic melodies and occasional, off-the-wall quirkiness. Trademark Stranglers qualities, including JJ Burnel's rumbling bass and Dave Greenfield's distinctive keyboard sounds are captured on record as never before.
