ABOUT JACKSON RATHBONE

Actor, singer, writer, producer and composer, Jackson Rathbone, is best known for his roles as Jasper Hale in Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, and as Sokka in The Last Airbender. He is a founding member of the band, 100 Monkeys.

This September, fresh off a nationwide summer tour with 100 Monkeys, Rathbone will star in Aim High, a web series he co-produced with legendary film director McG, in association with Warner Bros Entertainment, about a high-schooler (Rathbone), who moonlights as a U.S. spy.

On November 18, 2011, Rathbone will reprise his role as Jasper Hale in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1, followed by The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2 in November 2012.

Also on the horizon: Girlfriend, a film in which Rathbone co-starred in, wrote and performed the soundtrack, will premiere in the US in July. The poignant coming of age story about a Down Syndrome boy opened at the Toronto Film Festival earlier in 2011. It was the first film Rathbone co-produced with business partner Patch MacKenzie, under the banner of their new production company, PatchMo Entertainment. He recently wrapped roles in upcoming films Cowgirls 'N Angels and Live at the Foxes Den.

In 2011, Rathbone announced the launch of his own music label, Happy Jack Music. Bleeding Horse Express, the first band signed to the label, will be releasing their first album, Going South, and going on tour later this year. Rathbone produced the record at Warehouse Studios in Vancouver and at Happy Jack Music Studios in Los Angeles.

His past TV credits include The O.C., Close to Home, Beautiful People and guest-star roles in episodes of The War at Home, The Cleaner, Criminal Minds and No Ordinary Family. Past movie credits include Hurt, Big Stan, Senior Skip Day and Clive Barker's Dread.

Born in Singapore to American parents, Rathbone grew up traveling the world. After his family eventually planted roots in Texas, he began doing musical theater with a local youth actors program. He graduated from the prestigious acting high school, Interlochen Arts Academy in northern Michigan, and currently resides in Los Angeles.

ABOUT 100 MONKEYS

Hailing from Los Angeles, 100 Monkeys (www.100monkeysmusic.com) is a quintet of multi-instrumentalists comprised of Jackson Rathbone (The Twilight Saga, The Last Airbender), Ben Graupner (Trapped in the 5150, Devolved), Jerad Anderson (Wayne/Lauren Film Company), Lawrence Abrams (of the great Willie Bobo, Bob Hope U.S.O. tour, and The Artist Consortium), and Ben Johnson (of the Stevedores and music producer of Spencer Bell's "Brain").

The funk-rock group is known for switching instruments and vocalists nearly every other song during their raucous, theatrical live-sets. To further the eclectic eccentricity, the band consistently improvises a song per live-set, whereupon they ask an idea or "song title" from the audience and proceed to jam out a tune replete with verses and lyrics.

The band has been described by SPIN.com as "funk rock" and by RollingStone.com as "tribal sounds with vocals recalling Jim Morrison's baritone croon." Beyond Race Magazine says they are "sing-along-worthy, sometimes bluesy" and MTV.com describes them as a mix of "Iggy Pop with the Raconteurs." 100 Monkeys' latest album, "Liquid Zoo" (Warrior Records/Universal Music Distribution), is the band's second studio, full-length recording album. It is on sale now at www.bestbuy.com.

Prior discography includes: "Monster de Lux" (all improvised recordings),"Singles" (Ugly Girl, Smoke, Wasteland Too), "The Creative Control: Live Sessions," "Grape," and "Live and Kickin'." Their first studio album, "Grape", which was released in 2009.
