Arena in Burbank, Illinois. Just shy of one year in the music biz, music chameleon, Troy D., is up for his second nomination in 2011. Nominated and awarded The Rising Star Award in Hollywood, the pop-rb singer and songwriter is back in
Chicago and up for another one.
The engaging, smooth, yet charismatic performer commands your attention from the stage. It might seem like the camera-shy songwriter's in hiding, but he's gearing up for what he calls his, "strongest performance from any song I've ever performed from my 'S'wet' EP." "Expect a perfect picture with a full sound," he says. WOW! If you ask him what his secret is, the #teampisces man will just burst out laughing and…smile. Troy D. won't be able to hide too long- he's got big plans for 2012 that's going to make him shine even brighter.
You might remember his first self-written single, "S'wet," which made a viral sweep in no time.
Prince Charming's also held five singles on the Top Ten AMA Hits in Canada at one time for over 20 consecutive weeks. He's holding down the top spot now at No. 1 with the single, "Star." He had little to no promotional plans with the song, but it was already hundreds of downloads in, selected by PopChips' and up for the SPIN Stage in Austin, Texas, was rotating on Canada's AMA Hits, and blasting on radios from
Chicago to Panama in the first week. Emails came in so its safe to expect a new music video soon. But we're certainly anticipating that new performance.
