Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ ILDK Media) What do Lady GaGa, Ke$ha, Dev, Katy Perry, The
Pussycat Dolls and
Colbie Caillat (among others) have in common? Besides the fact that they're all international mega-superstars, they're also first and foremost Club Skirts alumni, and chances are, you've all discovered them first at The Dinah.
Carrying on its solid unique reputation for spotting and booking breakthrough artists on the verge of becoming music's next new biggest sensation, The Dinah - the largest girl party music festival in the world - brings you this year again five of the fastest-rising artists building the hits of tomorrow to keep your eyes on!
Meet Anjulie, Meital, Rye Rye, Porcelain
Black and Daniela Brooker, the RISING STARS of tomorrow, who will all exclusively, for this one time only, perform under one roof! Already stepping to the forefront of the pop/dance music circuit, these "Fab Fives" are securely carving their way towards success.
ANJULIE
The youngest of four children,
Anjulie grew up in the Toronto suburb of Oaksville, Ontario, raised by immigrant parents from Guyana. The exotic mélange has definitely influenced Anjulie's debut album created with her producers and songwriting collaborators Colin Wolfe (Dr. Dre and Monica) and Jon Levine.
Anjulie made her marks on the music charts with her memorable radio hit "Boom" and "Rain". She also wrote two songs for actress-singer Emma Roberts' debut album Unfabulous and More. Now the soulful chanteuse/dance vixen is back and set to s-l-a-y with her new single "Brand New Bitch". The song already featured on Charlie's Angels TV series, just landed at # 5 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play chart thus becoming her 4th consecutive top 10 hit.
With her unique voice, disarmingly frank lyrics, melodic gifts and exotic sex appeal,
Anjulie announces herself as a commanding new presence on the music scene.
PORCELAIN BLACK
Ever since her debut single, "This Is What Rock N' Roll Looks Like " (featuring Lil Wayne), pop-rock singer-songwriter Porcelain
Black has been wowing audiences with her fierce, raspy vocals, two-tone hair, and bad-girl attitude. She's released a handful of singles while fans wait for her new album (to be released in early 2012). She toured with Nicki Minaj,
Rick Ross and
Travis Barker, appeared in videos for
Swizz Beatz and Jeffree Star, and made her television debut on Late Night With
David Letterman Show last July.
Now the heavily tattooed rocking chick in killer platforms is invading our iPods and airwaves with her newest single, "Naughty Naughty", which not only reminds us why we can't wait for her new album in 2012, but also why she's definitely a MUST-SEE performance at The Dinah!
MEITAL
Born and raised in Israel,
Meital Dohan (pronounced "Mey-tall") is no stranger to the spotlight as an award-winning actress in theater, film, and television, and the author of a number of successful plays and the book "Love and Other Bad Habits". After an outstanding performance on Showtime's "Weeds", she broke into the music scene with her single "Yummy Boyz", which playful music video garnered over ONE MILLION views on YouTube. "Yummy Boyz" is the first single off Meital's forthcoming debut album "I'm in Hate with Love" produced by Che Pope (Dr. Dre, Eminem, Lauryn Hill).
Meital is also starring in the upcoming feature film "Foreclosure" with Michael Imperioli of The Sopranos.
This eccentric, over-the-top, triple threat will be bringing her sexy, provocative, envelope-pushing show to the desert with an exclusive never-heard-before "Yummy Girls" version tailor-made for Dinah goers that is sure to sweep the ladies off their feet and take The Dinah by storm.
RYE RYE
20-year-old rapper Rye Rye's new single "Never Will Be Mine" is heating up the charts, and with her debut album "Go! Pop! Bang!"(set to be released early 2012 ) she's on top of the world. Baltimore-native Rye Rye burst onto the music scene at just 16. As a perfect showmanship she pulled herself up and out of the Baltimore projects making mentors along the way. DJ Blaqstar offered her a club hit with "Shake it to the ground" while her collaboration with M.I.A on "Bang" - also featured as a single on the soundtrack of "The Fast and The Furious" - sealed her star status.
One of the freshest voices in the industry, Rye Rye throws down rhymes ridiculously easily to let the music alone be the sound of her triumph.
DANIELA BROOKER
British-Venezuelan Pop
Sensation Daniela Brooker is living the dream, after a self-penned track, 'Turn It Up' was picked up by UK's iconic Chris Evans Breakfast Show. Working with acclaimed producer Louis Read (Mary J Blige and The Noisettes), plus Paul Garred from The
Kooks and Rob Harris from Jamiroquai, she has put together an enviable collection of killer pop songs including the sassy summer hit anthem "
Summer Love", which premiered on MTV/Logo's "NewNowNext". She toured with The
Saturdays on their UK
Arena Tour, completed a US promo tour this past summer, and also performed at a special showcase for breaking artists at the NY Chapter of The GRAMMY Foundation.
Already crowned "Pop's most exciting new face", Brooker's electrifyingly catchy pop sound, charismatic effervescence, and exotic Latina charm are simply infectiously irresistible.
"Choosing 2012's line up was tough this year as so many young artists have current club hits, but I narrowed it down to the five I felt had the most impressive and well rounded talent. Possessing a seasoned and commanding stage presence is always also a factor for me. Wowing my audience with a very high caliber of talent is always my goal. We're going to have five amazing shows at The Dinah pool in 2012." says Mariah Hanson. "Ever since The Pussycat Dolls, then still unknown, performed at The Dinah in 2006, our event has steadily developed a reputation for breaking the artists of tomorrow,
Lady Gaga and
Katy Perry being amongst our most well known and Dev being the latest revelation. Keeping with the tradition, our 2012 pool parties will showcase a variety of promising emerging artists - the next "it" thing in music!"
Jump on the bandwagon and be the first ones to say: "I saw them first at The Dinah", because, predictably next year, they'll be storming the charts and selling out arenas and stadiums all over the world.
