Manny Pacquiao Anthem Lands Knockout Blow
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Manny Pacquiao Official Website) Worldwide: Just in time for Manny Pacquiao's next big fight on June 9th, 2012 comes a new Anthem that hits just as hard as Pacquiao's left hook. "Pacman Anthem" by Filipino/Mexican group South Psycho Cide based in San Diego, CA. "Pacman" is a tribute song dedicated to the pride of the Philippines Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. Although Pacquiao songs have been recorded in the past there has never been one so aggressive and with so much intensity. With Pacquiao arguably titled "The greatest fighter of our time" the talented Duo aim's to make an attempt at history with "The greatest Pacquiao Anthem of our time".

South Psycho Cide are no rookie's to the music scene and have been nominated five times in the past for Best Hip Hop at the San Diego Music Awards. They were also the first San Diego Hip Hop group to land a cover story in The San Diego Union Tribune and the first SD Hip Hop group to perform on Fox 5 Morning News. Along with those accomplishments they were featured on The Filipino Channel (TFC) global news, DefinitelyFilipino.com and The Filipino Press. The San Diego Reader and San Diego CityBeat have also acknowledged the group as "local Hip Hop vets". You can hear Cookoo & Heat every Sunday on Magic 92.5FM on The Xavier The X-Man Oldies Show intro.

Cookoo and Heat are the members of South Psycho Cide and both are half Filipino and half Mexican, Fil-Am's (Filipino Americans). Cookoo's Father is Mexican and Mother Filipino and Heat's Father is Filipino and Mother Mexican. "Both cultures are so a like it's pretty cool how everything just came together through family and through music", states Cookoo. Being Filipino Americans the group is proud to record a song that can inspire Fil-Am MC's and shed light on the Fil-Am Hip Hop scene. "Right now us Mexican's and Filipino's are underdogs in the music business, we want to change that and we won't stop until we do".

"Pacman Anthem" has been featured on BoxingInsider.com and a big feature on Manny Pacquiao's official site (www.mp8.ph). With close to 15,000 views on youtube the buzz is starting to catch momentum with the Pacquiao fans. "Pacman" definitely delivers that knockout punch with high intense lyrics and a beat that can strike fear in any opponent. The group hopes Manny Pacquiao loves the song and hopes one day Pacquiao could walk into the ring playing the song. "Regardless of what the critics say Pacquiao is going down as the greatest fighter ever in history. We feel good to have a little part of history in the making".

Pacman Anthem by South Psycho Cide is available on itunes, amazon, emusic, spotify, myspace music, rhapsody plus more stores online.
